Tempeh is a fermented soya bean product that originated in Indonesia. This workshop will take you through the steps of making tempeh, starting with how to build a tempeh incubator, to create a perfect habitat for growing your own tempeh. I will then demonstrate how to prepare the soya beans and culture them with Rhizopus Oligosporus moulds. This process binds the soya beans into a compact white cake, which can be marinated, or seasoned and cooked in a variety of delicious ways.
